The Baia Sprie ski area is the best choice in Northwestern Romania for winter sports enthusiasts. The ski slopes we are referring to are those at Șuior and Cavnic, located a short distance from Pensiunea Verde. Below you will find a description of these slopes to help you make your choice more easily.
Șuior and Mogoșa ski slopes
ȘUIOR Ski Slopes
The Șuior slopes are located on the northern side of the Mogoșa massif, with a total length of 3,600 m and a medium difficulty level. Steeper sections are happily alternated with gentler slopes, giving them a unique charm and a constant sense of novelty and adrenaline for skiers.
The slope is equipped with night skiing facilities and snow cannons, making it the best and most well-equipped slope in the area.
Mogoșa Slope – Features
Difficulty level: Advanced
Ski slope length: 2,200 meters
Start: Mogoșa Peak, 1,246 m
Finish: 720 m
Those who ascend Mogoșa have the option to:
Ski only the upper part of the slope and then take the Moski ski lift back near the top for short runs, or
Ski the entire slope down to the Mogoșa resort, then take the chairlift back to the top, or
Ski down the Șuior slope to reach Șuior resort, then take the chairlift back to Cota 1000.
